Five Ingredient Guacamole | Fridge Recipe
We’ve all made Guacamole before, but this recipe only has 5 ingredients! I’m not trying to say its lacking in flavor or taste, but this is a pretty simple Guacamole recipe. I don’t know about you but I like to make my Guacamole with avocados that are pretty ripe, there is nothing worse for me than biting into this delicious dip and it being crunch because your avocados were not ripe enough. So I let them season a bit on the counter until they are nice and mushy when I pick them up or squeeze them. Take note that if you wait too long then avocados will start to rot and turn brown, that is far too long to wait to make the perfect Guacamole. If this does happen to you don’t worry too much they’re still edible I would just cut out all the black/brown and save the nice mushy green bits for this recipe. The more brown you allow into the mixture the darker the overall color of the dip will be. Though, this will brown on its own the longer it sits out in the open air so don’t worry too much.
Five Ingredient Guacamole is the perfect side dish for any time of year. Any time you entertain and need a good side dish, or dip to go with chips and hummus this should be your go to recipe. It’s easy to make in a pinch because there are only five ingredients and you guests will love it. This dip is also a good paring with bread, if you have baguettes on hand slice them up and toast them for a few minutes to make them nice and crunchy and you have another way to eat this delicious dip!

- 2 large avocados
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 clove garlic minced
- Cut your avocados in half and remove pit
- Slice both vertically and horizontally all the way to the skin (this step makes them easier to smash up!)
- Use a spoon to scrape the avocado meat out of the skin
- With a fork, whisk, or potato masher smash the avocados until they aren't as chunky (I add the garlic before I do this, that way the flavors get smashed together!)
- Add your lime juice, red pepper flakes and lemon pepper, stir to combine
- Let sit for at least 15 minutes
If you have leftovers add the pit from one avocado and cover tightly with plastic wrap, it won't turn brown as quickly!
