Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls | Fridge Recipe

I have been seeing this recipe everywhere lately and I wanted to know what the big deal was and if it was even possible to make theseΒ Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls. The verdict is: it’s possible but be careful!
These are the tips that I have for you:
Don’t use store bought dough, that’s something I read in every post that I saw about theseΒ Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls. Store bought dough is far too greasy for this to work properly.
I also learned from experience that you want your dough to be very cold when you do this, if it isn’t cold enough it will start to melt off the muffin pan before you even get it in the oven!
Also try to spread the dough as thin as possible without creating gaps, that way it will be easier to remove and won’t spread as far!
Lastly if I make these again I am going to try and line to bottom of the pan with parchment paper, the main problem with theseΒ Chocolate Chip Cookie Bowls is that they are almost impossible to remove from the bottom of your muffin pan and they break very easily!

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 egg yolks beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
Servings: people
Units:
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugars, butter, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, and mix together just until completely combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  3. Split dough in half.
  4. Roll out the first portion with a rolling pin and cut into circles slightly larger than the bottom of each hole in the muffin tin.
  5. Roll the second portion into 12 small balls.
  6. Mold your cookie bowls around an upside-down muffin tin. We recommend creating a base by placing a small ball of cookie dough on top of each cup, then wrapping with a circular cutout of flattened cookie dough.
  7. Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookie bowls to cool on the baking sheets for about two minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Easy Cinnamon Apple Pie

Easy Cinnamon Apple Pie | Fridge Recipe

Easy Cinnamon Apple Pie!!!

It’s pie time!Β Easy Cinnamon Apple Pie that is and its delicious. Apple pie has always been a staple pie in America and now is the time for you to make one. This recipe makes it easier than ever to make a delicious pie. What makes it so easy is that it does not involve making a crust by hand. There is no need to keep the dough refrigerated or season it the day before you make the pie, no rather you just grab yourself a can of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls and make a crust from that!

Easy Cinnamon Apple Pie

It’s quite simple to make a Cinnamon Roll crust all you need to do is buy the can, pop it open and squish the individual rolls flat to cover your pie pan. Make sure you squish all the rolls together so there are no gaps. You don’t want your pie filling to fall between the cracks and burn on the pan. So make sure the individual rolls do form a bond with eachΒ other before adding that filling. We started in the center of the pie pan and placed the individual rolls in a circle until the edges were covered.

We use 9 Inch Pie PanΒ for this recipe, they are cheap and easy to clean. I especially like how the edges move slightly backward so you can fit more pie crust in and it’s easier to cut through the crust for perfect serving. I can’t say enough about these pans!

Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie

Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie | Fridge Recipe

Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie

So theseΒ Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies were completely my idea, for the third year in a row the hubby and I were invited to a wonderful Bacon and Beer party celebrating the birthday of an awesome friend, throw by his beautiful fiancee! The first year we made a Bacon Apple pie, last year we made what we like to call Poor Man’s Poppers and this year I wanted to go back to something sweet.. But I couldn’t think of anything! Β I asked the hubby and he had no ideas.. So I got on Pinterest and I searched for bacon. Did you know that people are now battering and deep frying bacon? I didn’t either.. That was too much for me and I gave up on Pinterest for the first time!
Then I heard that someone coming to the party was bringing Maple Bacon cupcakes. And I thought why not just add bacon to a classic treat! and I thought of warm gooey chocolate chip cookies… And I barely had time to let the words fall out of my mouth before the Hubby gave me a very excited yes for an answer! So I got baking! And let me tell you, theseΒ Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies were probably the best dessert I have ever made! The salty/sweet mix was amazing!

Make the bacon as crispy as you can without burning it. If it is soft, then you'll wind up with chewy bacon and hard to eat cookies.
